Every install is different. Based on customer feedback, we now offer extended-length power and ground leads designed to support cleaner routing and greater flexibility across a range of Open Trail Creations wiring solutions.
These leads are built using 12 AWG marine-grade wire, selected for its improved corrosion resistance, insulation quality, and durability in harsh environments. Each lead is terminated with the correct Weather Pack connectors to integrate cleanly with Open Trail Creations wiring products—no modification required. The result is a serviceable, fully reversible extension that fits naturally into an OEM-style install.
By offering longer, purpose-built leads, these extensions can also help reduce the number of intermediate connection points in an installation. In many cases, that means fewer inline crimp connectors, resulting in a cleaner layout and improved long-term serviceability—especially on longer or more complex runs.
Extended-length leads are well suited for installs where accessories are mounted farther from the power source, where routing paths vary by platform, or where additional length simply enables a more intentional and professional result.

They are intended to integrate seamlessly wherever OTC wiring products are used.

Another Home Run!!
Once again, Open Trails Connections has released another great solution – longer leads that results in less splices under the hood. Attention to packing details has carried over, each wire in its own bag and clearly marked with its length and if it’s positive to negative for those who order various lengths, there is no second guessing as to what wire in bag. Using the same high-quality wire and connectors, since I would have ended up buying wire anyway, only made sense to continue and support Open Trails Connections. Order some for your project, you won’t be disappointed, I’m sure glad I did!
